50th Wedding Anniversary Marked by Enterprise Couple;
Fifty years ago today, October 15, 1901, Mr. and Mrs. Irvine Cronk were married in Kingston, and also took occasion to join in the welcome to the Duke and Duchess of York who were later King George V and Queen Mary. Yesterday, Sunday, this aged couple celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their Enterprise home. Over 200 relatives and friends called at their home to extend congratulations.
Highlight of the reception was the visit of 12 members of the Hunt Club of which Mr. Cronk, who is 78 years of age, is a member. His hunting pals all attended in hunting attire. There are 24 members in the club, and Mr. Cronk has already made plans to go to the woods again this year.
Mrs. Cronk, the former Stella Rose Jackson, is 72 years of age. She and her husband have lived in the Enterprise district since their marriage. They retired from the farm located on the outskirts of Enterprise six years ago and took up residence in the village of Enterprise.
Mr. and Mrs. Cronk have two children, Mrs. M. J. Breault, Napanee and Mrs. William Fritz, Kingston. Mrs. Cronk has three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Cronk, Enterprise, Mrs. George Clancy, Centreville, and Mrs. Everton Cronk, Wagarville. Mr. Cronk has four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Buckley, Parham, Mrs. M.
