Frances Byron Cronk passed suddenly away on Wednesday, December 29th at his home in Enterprise. Son of the last Solomon Cronk and Samantha Storms, he was born at Parham 63 years ago. In 1907 he married Jennie Jackson and they spent the early part of their life as farmers there. Thirty-one years ago they retired and took up residence in Enterprise. Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters to mourn his loss: Mrs. Evalena Vanvolkenburg of Oshawa and Mrs. A. Wagar (Edith) of Black Donald Mine. Also two nieces and four nephews. The funeral was held on Friday Dec. 31, 1948 at 2:00 p.m. from his late residence to Enterprise United Church, where Mr. K.J. Crawford conducted the service. During the service the choir sang "Good Night and Good Morning". Pall-bearers were Messrs. Floyd Cowdy, Gerald Walker, Howard Harten, Edwin Wilson, Wesley Douglas and William Barret. Interment was made in the family plot in Moscow Cemetery.
